Detach a first-class variant from its primary item

The API runs on your own Open Inventory instance. Session-authenticated requests require a session on that instance.

/resources/{id}/family

Removes only the protected variant_of family link. The currently effective inherited bill of materials is materialized onto the same inventory resource first. Stock, locations, serial units, ordinary relationships, assignments, and manufacturing history stay attached to that resource.

Retrieve a first-class inventory variant family GET

Resolves the primary item and its ordinary resource variants. Every returned member has independent stock, locations, serialization, relationships, and manufacturing history. The request fails rather than exposing a partially authorized family.
